 Hey blog, I'm back! Today I'm continuing to edit the final video. Since the previous time that I edited the video, I noticed that my groupmates had already made some good progress with the editing process. This made it harder for me to figure out what I should do to finish editing the video. However, I saw that there were still sound effects missing within important parts of the video. Fortunately, I had written down notes on which were the necessary sound effects for the different parts of the video. After looking over my notes I decided to research online for places where I could find copy-right free sound effects to use. Luckily, it was quite easy to find websites where I could download sound effects for free and without royalty issues. However, I encountered a problem with the sounds being downloaded in a video format instead of an mp3 format.  Hey blog, I'm back! Today my group and I have decided to continue with the editing process of our video. Everyone decided that it would be better to split the work amongst ourselves to make the whole editing process much easier. To do this it was decided that everyone should work in "shifts" similar to a job. This would get the editing done more efficiently and quickly along with letting all group members communicate better with each other.  For the first shift, my groupmate decided to be first and work on editing parts of the video. For the second shift, I decided to start working on the editing instead of my other groupmate. Once I began editing, I noticed that my groupmate had already cut out many extra parts of the video that were deemed unnecessary. However I noticed that even after this, the video was still over the time limit. This led me to have the idea of further cutting up the clips and shortening them to get them under the time limit.  Hey blog, I'm back! Today my groupmates and I began the process of editing together the different scenes. However before anyone got started, it was decided that it would be a good idea to plan out how to edit the video. To do this, it was decided to first research any editing software that could potentially be used. Although I had already used a video editing program before, I decided that perhaps using a different program could help with improving the quality of the video. This led me to search for the most popular video editing programs that people use. After searching this up I stumbled across a wide variety of programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, and Wondershare Filmora. Unfortunately, numerous of these programs are pretty pricey and outside of the budget of my groupmates and me.  Hey blog, I'm back! Today my group and I are finally finishing all of the filming that was necessary for the film. Since this scene took place at the same location as the rest of the scenes, there wasn't any need to stress out about finding a place to film the scene. For this scene, the location also had to be close to the area where the first scene. This was due to the fact that there is a clip where a character must briefly look back at the first location. For this scene, the character that I was acting as was not included. This meant that I could pour all of my focus into helping with the camera movements. Luckily the other people who had volunteered to be actors were also there and decided to help me out behind the scenes. Before we began filming the scene, my groupmates and I decided to do practice runs of the scene just like we had previously done.  Hey blog, I'm back! Today my group and I decided to continue with the filming from last time. Today began the filming for the second scene of the film. Luckily the location for this scene was going to be in the same setting as the last scene so none of my groupmates had difficulties arriving. However since this scene did not include everyone from last time, one actor was missing as they did not carry any significance towards the filming. For this scene, there was only me and one other person who had to act anything out. This allowed for the rest of my groupmates who arrived at the location to focus solely on working the camera. Thanks to this, my fellow actor and I were able to concentrate more on the acting portion of today's filming. For this scene, my group mates and I had the idea to do the same thing as last time.  Hey blog, I'm back! Today my group and I finally started filming the video. Since everyone has a limited amount of time it was decided that the different scenes should be done over a period of multiple days. The filming also had to be done over multiple days since the filming had to be done during a specific time of day that's close to sundown. For today my group and I started filming scene 1 of the video. Luckily this was a very short scene which meant that me and my group didn't have to do too much today. During this scene and the rest of the film I took the role of playing the character, Detective Carter. This required me to have to wear a detective-like attire which I had previously researched. However when it came time to do the filming I was unable to find any ties to wear with my shirt. Fortunately, one of my groupmates had brought an extra tie with them just in case anyone needed it.  Hey blog, I'm back! Today I decided to research music that will be used during the film. Since the film will mostly include dialogue I have decided to search for music that does not include lyrics. However, due to the nature of the film, it also had to be music that went along well with the genre. This included music that was quieter or included notes of ambient sound. In order to find music to use for the filming I went on different search music engines such as YouTube, Spotify, or SoundCloud. After searching for a while on these sites, I found many songs that could potentially be used. Sadly I had to give up the idea of potentially using these songs. This was because while I continued searching, I remembered the fact that I needed to find permission to use certain songs within my film production. However, it tends to take some artists and music labels a while to legally give permission to entities to use their music. This led me to instead start searching for music that I could

 Hey blog, I'm back! Today my group and I started preparing for filming by researching what supplies such as props or tools were needed for the different scenes. The first thing that I decided to research was costumes. Since the scenes involved me playing the role of a detective I decided to research what detectives usually wear when they're doing field work. Luckily, the attire ended up being fairly easy to wear. I found out that unlike officers, police detectives do not wear a uniform. However, they mostly wear suits or formal wear due to a dress code they must follow. I already have a handful of formal shirts and pants that I can use for this which means that the costume will not be a worry for me. After researching costumes, my group and I decided to think about which tools would be needed to film.
