Preparing To Film

 Hey blog, I'm back! Today my group and I started preparing for filming by researching what supplies such as props or tools were needed for the different scenes. The first thing that I decided to research was costumes. Since the scenes involved me playing the role of a detective I decided to research what detectives usually wear when they're doing field work. Luckily, the attire ended up being fairly easy to wear. I found out that unlike officers, police detectives do not wear a uniform. However, they mostly wear suits or formal wear due to a dress code they must follow. I already have a handful of formal shirts and pants that I can use for this which means that the costume will not be a worry for me. After researching costumes, my group and I decided to think about which tools would be needed to film. Since professional cameras are too expensive to afford, it was decided that the filming would be done using my groupmate's iPhone as it has a good camera quality. However, buying something for camera stability was still necessary. Since there is going to be a scene where all of the actors appear, there was also a necessity for something to hold up the camera. This led to my group needing to buy a tripod stand for the iPhone along with a gimbal stabilizer to use when doing moving shots in the film. When searching for the prices of these items online, I found that the prices of a tripod stand was not too expensive but the gimbal stabilizer was quite costly. Fortunately, I was able to find a trusted site which sold gimbal stabilizer at a much more affordable price than the other sites did. After finishing up the research on the needed tools, I decided to look and see what props my group could potentially be using for the different scenes. One prop that was definitely going to be used was either biodegradable white paint or tape to mark an outline of something. However, I was still uncertain whether or not red biodegradable paint was going to be used to represent blood. Luckily, I found out that buying the tape or paint would not be too expensive. After wrapping up my research, I decided to talk with my groupmates and decided on finally starting to film soon. That's it for today, bye blog!
