Final Task: The Traitor

Hey blog, I'm back! I hope you guys enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it!

Completing The Production

Hey blog, I'm back! Today my groupmates and I decided to act upon the feedback that was received before uploading the video. The feedback that was received led my group to believe that it would be the best idea to reshoot one of the scenes to improve the video's overall quality. Since there was not much time before the due date of the video everything had to be done in a hurry. My groupmates and I scheduled to meet for the filming the day right after we got our feedback. Luckily due to the fact that it was only one scene, it meant that the reshooting would not take too long. After all of my groupmates met up at the original filming location everyone immediately got to setting up the location like it was previously. This was a bit difficult since it needed to be exactly the same as the last time my group mates and I recorded. However, after viewing the recordings from the last time, everyone was able to remember how to set up the location and where to set up the camera. After e

Reviewing The Work

Hey blog, I'm back! A couple days ago, the video was finally fully finished. However before it is shared, my groupmates and I decided to have it reviewed by a third party. For this, my groupmates and I decided to choose a mutual friend who did not know about the production to review it for us. The friend was given a copy of the video to be able to thoroughly view the video. After a while, they finally finished reviewing the video and gave us feedback. They told my groupmates and me that the video was overall pretty good. Although the acting seemed a little awkward at times, they thought that it was good since it was the first time me and my groupmates acted out in a video. The friend also stated how they liked the detail of the video ending off on a cliffhanger since it interested the audience to want to see more. However, they also stated how one of the scenes could have been done much better since there were issues with the quality. Once this was pointed out, I also noticed how

Officially Finishing the Video

Hey blog, I'm back! Today I'm continuing to edit the final video. Since the previous time that I edited the video, I noticed that my groupmates had already made some good progress with the editing process. This made it harder for me to figure out what I should do to finish editing the video. However, I saw that there were still sound effects missing within important parts of the video. Fortunately, I had written down notes on which were the necessary sound effects for the different parts of the video. After looking over my notes I decided to research online for places where I could find copy-right free sound effects to use. Luckily, it was quite easy to find websites where I could download sound effects for free and without royalty issues. However, I encountered a problem with the sounds being downloaded in a video format instead of an mp3 format. Thankfully, I figured out that I could just use another website to convert the videos of the sound effects into MP3. After obtainin

Fixing Up the Video

Hey blog, I'm back! Today my group and I have decided to continue with the editing process of our video. Everyone decided that it would be better to split the work amongst ourselves to make the whole editing process much easier. To do this it was decided that everyone should work in "shifts" similar to a job. This would get the editing done more efficiently and quickly along with letting all group members communicate better with each other.  For the first shift, my groupmate decided to be first and work on editing parts of the video. For the second shift, I decided to start working on the editing instead of my other groupmate. Once I began editing, I noticed that my groupmate had already cut out many extra parts of the video that were deemed unnecessary. However I noticed that even after this, the video was still over the time limit. This led me to have the idea of further cutting up the clips and shortening them to get them under the time limit. However, this turned out

Starting the Editing Process

Hey blog, I'm back! Today my groupmates and I began the process of editing together the different scenes. However before anyone got started, it was decided that it would be a good idea to plan out how to edit the video. To do this, it was decided to first research any editing software that could potentially be used. Although I had already used a video editing program before, I decided that perhaps using a different program could help with improving the quality of the video. This led me to search for the most popular video editing programs that people use. After searching this up I stumbled across a wide variety of programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, and Wondershare Filmora. Unfortunately, numerous of these programs are pretty pricey and outside of the budget of my groupmates and me. A couple of the free programs looked to have pretty good features to improve the quality of the video. Some of these programs were also some that I had already checked out bef
