Hey blog, I'm back! A couple days ago, the video was finally fully finished. However before it is shared, my groupmates and I decided to have it reviewed by a third party. For this, my groupmates and I decided to choose a mutual friend who did not know about the production to review it for us. The friend was given a copy of the video to be able to thoroughly view the video. After a while, they finally finished reviewing the video and gave us feedback. They told my groupmates and me that the video was overall pretty good. Although the acting seemed a little awkward at times, they thought that it was good since it was the first time me and my groupmates acted out in a video. The friend also stated how they liked the detail of the video ending off on a cliffhanger since it interested the audience to want to see more. However, they also stated how one of the scenes could have been done much better since there were issues with the quality. Once this was pointed out, I also noticed how ...
Hey blog, I'm back! At this point in time, my group has still not begun any filming. However, my groupmate and I decided that this week would be a good time for some filming to be done. Our group will also be taking advantage of the fact that there are some days off of school in the following weeks to record. In addition, my groupmate and realized that we don't necessarily need much fancy equipment to film as the cameras on our phones have a good enough quality. Fortunately, I was able to find a friend who was willing to help out by letting us borrow their Polaroid camera. The only other extra piece of equipment that has the possibility of being used is a camera stabilizer to hold our phones. Luckily, I was able to find a couple of stabilizers online that aren't too expensive for me to purchase. Since there is one day off during this upcoming week, I plan ...
One Genre we thought of was Horror! Common camera angles used in horror videos/movies would be high-angles often used to make characters appear vulnerable, low-angle to make characters look more dominant (often the bad one), dutch angles are also used to create a sense of imbalance and close-ups are used to show fear on someone’s eyes or show a curvature smile. Common mis-en-scene in horror films are a dark setting in a rural location away from everyone, props often used are weapons such as knives, axes, and chainsaws that would create a painful death, Black, red, grey, and brown would all be colors considered for a horror film as they all signify danger and tragedy, most people (mainly victims) in horror films look like they are dressed casually but a lot of effort is put into their outfits to show hints of their role and personality in the movie, the weaker characters in the frame are the ones who are opposite the camera on the floor showing how positioning affects how the film ...
