Group Blog
Hey blog, I'm back! Today I am starting the process of making the music video project. For this project, my teacher told the class that people could work within a group of up to four people in order to make these easier. They also explained how our group mates could be students from different class periods who also have the same class. Sadly, I was not able to find any friends who had the class during other time periods. Fortunately, I already knew two people whom I could potentially make a group with from the class. However, one of the people had already decided to work with other people so I asked my other friend if they did not have a group yet. Luckily they did not, so I chose to work with my fellow classmate Carlos Guerra. I chose to work with them for this project because I have known them since I was young and know that they are reliable. I also know that they always put their best effort into their work and are well-organized with their time. Since I have known them for a long time and visited their home before, it also makes this project a little easier since it means that meeting up with them to record shouldn't be difficult at all. After choosing my group, there was also the decision of having to pick a song to do for the project. Unfortunately, my groupmate didn't have an idea for the song so I decided on making a list of potential songs that could be used. After making this list, there were a couple of songs that were deemed to not be fully school-appropriate so they had to be crossed out. However, my groupmate and I quickly decided on the song "Heat Waves" by the artist Glass Animals. This song was chosen mostly due to its joyful vibe and what is discussed in it. The song mostly reminds the audience of nice, sunny days during the summer which is perfect since I live in the state of Florida and it is almost always a sunny day. There were also already some ideas on what my groupmate and I could do for the music video. This also led to the idea of choosing another song from the list as a backup plan in case anything goes wrong with the filming or editing process of the video. After doing all of this, my groupmate and I decided to continue planning for another day. Bye blog, see you guys later!
