Bringing The Storyboard To Life
Hey blog, I'm back! During this week I have been able to finally start the process of filming for the music video. Since there was no school this week on Tuesday, I took the opportunity to film the first scene on the storyboard. In order to film the opening scene of the sunrise, I had to wake up incredibly early at 5am. Unfortunately, my mother was not awake yet at this time so I had to pay for an Uber ride to go to the beach. Since I had arrived quite early, I had about an hour or two to wait until the sun rose up. However once the sun rose, I was able to capture a clear and nice video of the sun rising in the distance. After I finished this filming, I also remembered the other scenes from the storyboard that took place at the beach. On a previous day, I had asked some friends if they were willing to help me out by allowing me to record them for scenes 2 and 3 on the storyboard. However, none of them were able to help me out since they all had plans. Because of this, I had to resort to asking strangers I saw at the beach if I could record them for a school assignment. Some were skeptical but others were fine with me recording them. Since more people were arriving at the beach during this time, I was able to quickly wrap up the scenes and leave. Later in the day, I was also able to visit my friend who was allowing me to borrow his Polaroid camera and photos. Once I arrived there, he and I decided that it would be best to take a couple of photos with the camera so that I could have a wider selection of photos to use for scene 4. However, I also decided to use some of the photos that he already had since they were photos of other friends who had originally agreed to help me out by being actors. After selecting which photos to use, I laid them out on a table and took a small video clip by panning over them. I ended up doing multiple video clips since I decided to experiment to see which one best showed the Polaroid photos. Fortunately, I quickly took a good video that I liked and I headed back home before it got too late. That's it for today! Bye blog, see you guys later!
