Production Blog: Starting the process of the video
Hey blog, I'm back! During this past week, my groupmate and I have started working on the process needed for the music video. Although our group has not been able to record anything, it was decided that progress should still be made in some way. A couple of days ago the group decided on creating a storyboard for the video in order to have a guide to follow when filming. Fortunately, coming up with ideas for the various scenes only took about an hour to do. The sketching for the scenes on the storyboard was also another quick thing as it only took about an hour and a half to draw them. Although I am not a good artist, I was able to make the sketches detailed enough for the different scenes to be understood. I also already had thought of some ideas before this which helped make the storyboard much faster and easier. After finishing the storyboard, my groupmate and I planned out how we were going to obtain certain scenes. Since he and I were the only people in the group, it was discovered that meeting up to record all of the scenes together was going to be a challenge. This was mostly due to our busy schedules after school and on the weekends. To combat this, it was decided that each of us should try to record some scenes on our own if possible. For example, since my groupmate is unable to record a sunrise at the beach for the first scene due to work, I will record that scene by myself. For another part, my groupmate had already planned to record two scenes of people playing sports but was unable to. Fortunately, he regularly goes to a park to play soccer which will provide him with many other opportunities to record the scenes. However, there are still various scenes that will require us to meet up in order to record since it would be too difficult for us to do individually. Luckily, since my groupmate and I live very close to each other, whenever we are able to meet up there won't be many difficulties regarding transportation. After planning this, my groupmate and I also briefly discussed what tools or props should be prepared for when we start properly filming together. That's all for today! Bye blog, see you guys later!
