Reflection

 Hey blog, I'm back! During my time making the commercial, I had the opportunity to learn how to use new technology. This new technology included video and photo editing software. The main video editing software that I learned to use was CapCut. While using CapCut, I learned that making videos is not as hard as I first believed it to be. While doing this project I was also able to learn how to extract audio such as music from a place like YouTube and how to add audio to videos as well. I was also able to learn how to remove small unwanted things and do small edits to photos through the use of photo editing software.

While putting together this commercial, I also learned a lot of various things. One of the main things that I learned was the importance of being organized. Being organized with my resources and what I needed to do during this project together made the process of making the commercial feel much easier than I thought. The way in which I kept organized during this was to write down ideas in a notebook and a list of the content that I wanted to include. During this process, I also learned the importance of time management. Without time management, I would have been a lot more stressed while making the commercial. In order to manage my time more wisely, I decided to cut all distractions near me whenever I worked on the commercial. This significantly helped me since I tend to procrastinate on school assignments sometimes. 

After making this commercial I realized that there are some things that I could do to make my next project even better. Syncing the music better to the video is one of the things that I could do. I realized that my commercial could have improved by a good amount if I had synced the music lyrics to certain content that I showed. Another way in which I can make my next project better is by learning how to use transitions much more effectively. While reviewing my work I noticed that just picking out random transitions provided to me on CapCut was not enough to make the video look smooth. For the next project, I could also try to learn to use more advanced video editing techniques or software to make the appearance of the video look more professional. In addition, I think that I could potentially add a voiceover or improve the look of my subtitles in videos to help the audience obtain information more easily. That's all for now!
